Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) voted today for the FY16 Department of Defense Appropriations Act which funds critical national security needs, military operations to combat ISIS and other threats, and a 2.3% pay raise and other health and safety programs for our troops and their families. The legislation also included two amendments offered by Walberg to help ensure an appropriate use of American taxpayer dollars in Afghanistan and to protect hospitals that administer TRICARE from government overreach.

"In an increasingly dangerous world, America must maintain our place as the best military in the world. To meet these growing threats, our men and women in uniform need to be equipped with the essential resources to protect the American people and our way of life," said Walberg.
