Issues: Government Budget and Spending
The national debt is over $16 trillion dollars. Fiscal responsibility is not an option, it's a necessity. We must get federal spending under control by cutting the wasteful and duplicative programs to ensure the long term financial health of the United States. We must protect our children and grandchildren from mountains of debt they cannot afford.
As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I support cutting wasteful government spending.
