U.S. Representative Mimi Walters (CA-45) released the following statement after voting in support of the fiscal year 2016 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development funding bill. This legislation provides $55.3 billion in discretionary spending for the Department of Transportation, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other related agencies.

Said Rep. Mimi Walters, "This critical legislation invests in our nation's transportation and infrastructure programs that are vital to our economy and the quality of life for Americans. It also provides housing assistance to those most in need, particularly our nation's seniors and low-income families. I applaud its passage today in the House and am hopeful the Senate will act quickly to pass this important bill."
