Governor McCrory Offers Rewards in Two Cold Cases

Governor Pat McCrory announced today rewards of up to $5,000 each in two cold criminal cases.

"I urge citizens who may have any type of information regarding these cases to step forward so we can bring the perpetrators of these horrendous crimes to justice," Governor McCrory said.

The governor is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the disappearance of Shonda Renee Stansbury in Roanoke Rapids, Halifax County, North Carolina.

On December 14, 2006, Shonda Renee Stansbury was reported missing by her family. She was last seen on December 7, 2006 at a residence in Roanoke Rapids.

On December 22, 2006, law enforcement received a 911 call of a possible sighting of Ms. Stansbury covered in blood running away from two male subjects in the area of Highway 903 and Thelma Road. Law enforcement believes that Ms. Stansbury is deceased.
