Marchant Honors Veterans, Active Military in Memorial Day Rally

Washington, DC: Today Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) participated in a Memorial Day rally honoring veterans and active military. Joining Speaker Dennis Hastert and other Congressional leaders, Marchant paid tribute to those who currently serve and those who have served in the past to make America a stronger and more secure nation.

"Today I was proud to stand among veterans and active military, and honor the sacrifices the men and women of the armed forces have made for this great country. Without their patriotism and commitment, America would not be the nation it is today.

"This Memorial Day I encourage all Americans to reflect on the contributions of our veterans and active military. Freedom does not come without a price. We owe a debt of gratitude to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to fight for the liberties enjoyed by all Americans. Please remember the men and women of the armed services in your prayers."
