Congresswoman Matsui's Statement Regarding Governor Brown's Delta Plan

Today Congresswoman Doris Matsui (CA-06) issued the following statement on Governor Jerry Brown's new Delta plan:

"The Governor's new plan for the Delta is very troublesome. I continue to have great concerns about not only the new plan's impacts to northern California, but its effectiveness to accomplish its mandated two co-equal goals. While accelerating Delta restoration projects is admirable, and frankly should have been done a long time ago, there is no mention of any involvement from the Delta residents who would have to live with the impacts of the of the two massive water tunnels. Also, there is no mention of assurances that water reliability is being improved for all Californians, not just for the Delta exporters."
