Issue Position: Citizenry must have a positive outlook towards goverment

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2015

I think the underlining issue with our government being an ineffective entity is that the citizens have lost trust in our elected governmental officials. Personally, in my thirty-five years on planet Earth, I have not witnessed as much distrust for our elected officials as I do now. We have gotten to a point in American society where it is almost the norm for American citizens to say something negative about this great nation.

I just want to say, in my opinion, it is not America the land that has wronged us. It is the people we have elected to run and govern this wonderful place we call the U.S.A. If I take a seed and bury it in the land of America, it will give me a plant, hopefully bearing fruit. So, America the land has been nothing but good to us. However, many people that we have chosen to represent us have simply failed us, at astronomical proportions.

I believe once people regain trust in their elected officials, we will start to see a change for the better. But we need our elected officials to start representing us instead of, selling us to the lowest bidder. Not only for the generations of the past and present, but for the generations of our future
