Issue Position: We should not be divided on race. We are more alike than we are different.

Issue Position

It saddens me that I should even feel the need to address the issue of race in America. This country was built on the backs of mostly all races in the world. We are the land of the proud and free and that is why we have millions of people flocking to this country. I believe most of the division that occurs between race is the doing of big name media outlets and also some of our politicians who use race as a deflection from the fact that they are not getting anything done.

Thanks to the Age of Information Technology, we have become a smarter society. For some it seems that technology has made us much less intelligent but at the moment that is neither here nor there. Being that we have become much more in tune to what is going on in the world, our government, law enforcement and juducial system, they can not just pull the trickery that some of the public officials in those agencies has done in the past. I guess what I am trying to say is that we are able to have a bigger voice and have become much more united thanks to the world of information technology and most certainly social media.

Since some of the leadership and public officials can not divide us on some of the things that they use to divide us on, they are becoming more and more desperate to stay in office and they do not want us to band together as a society. So they know that there is one thing that will always keep us divided, and that is the issue of race. Now, I do not believe everyone in goverment or every public official is corrupt. I just believe the few that are have a lot of power. They know people with lots of power who hold positions and have the authority to make decisions that could destroy a persons livelihood and family.

People, we all have two hands, two feet, two eyes, a nose, two ears, fingers, toes, hair, a brain, a heart, lungs, spinal cord, skin, etc. The only fundamental difference that humans have is simply color. Which in my opinion, really has no bearing as to how we as humans function. What I mean is the color of our skin does not determine the rate at which we breath, the way we chew our food, the way we smile or cry. I am no doctor or nurse I am not qualified to give a medical opinion however I believe that if you have lived a number of years on planet Earth we should be able to take things from our surroundings as we age. You do not need a doctorate to perceive reality.

So the next time you hear a politician starting to resort to name calling and using the race card, close your ears. Just know when a person starts name calling they have nothing else intelligent to say. There is no need for that type of behavior in politics. When a politician uses those tactics just know that they are trying to deflect from the fact that they are not getting anything done on behalf of their citizens.
