Tiberi Statement on Senate Passage of Medicare Reform Bill

U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH), a member of the Ways and Means Committee released the following statement regarding the Senate passage of H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act:

"Sending H.R. 2, the Medicare reform bill that fixes the Sustainable Growth Rate and makes structural reforms to Medicare, to the president's desk is a win for all Americans. It puts Medicare on a more sustainable path for our seniors. I am also pleased that my measure to require binding bids in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' durable medical equipment competitive bidding program was included in this bill. It will bring more transparency to the process for equipment suppliers and ensure seniors who rely on things like oxygen and wheelchairs have access to higher quality services and equipment, ultimately improving health outcomes."
