House Passes Budget Resolution

Statement

Following passage of the House of Representatives' budget resolution Wednesday evening, Congressman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) made the following comment:

"We've presented and passed a responsible budget blueprint for the American people and an indication of our priorities: addressing our staggering national debt, balancing the budget in less than 10 years, and repealing Obamacare in full. Just like every Ohio family must balance their family budgets, so should the federal government.

"Just as critical is defense funding for our national security. In the face of rising threats and aggression from foes abroad, providing for our common defense is not something we can afford to do on the cheap. Peace and security comes from strength, not weakness. We cannot continue down a path that weakens our economic and national security."
