The U.S. House of Representatives has passed H.R. 351, the LNG Permitting Certainty and Transparency Act. Following passage of H.R. 351, Congressman Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement:

"For the past six years, hardworking American families have been suffering from the failed "middle class economics' that have been imposed by the Obama administration. Alternatively, House Republicans have been focused on growing America's economy instead of Washington's bureaucracy.

"Today, the House once again put forth and passed bipartisan legislation to strengthen America's economy and energy security. Expediting the approval process for liquefied natural gas (LNG) export permits helps America economically and geopolitically. Our European allies have been relying on unstable countries, such as Russia and Iran, for their energy needs. Expanding our exports will help decrease their reliance on unfriendly energy sources.

"House conservatives are committed to putting forth robust energy solutions to make America a global energy superpower and achieve American energy security. To do so, we will work constantly towards establishing a 21st century energy strategy for America."
