Today, Congressman Luke Messer (IN-06) released the following statement after Senator Dan Coats (R-IN) announced he will not seek reelection in 2016:

"Congrats to Senator Coats on what must have been a tough decision to retire. Senator Coats is our U.S. Senator, but Dan and Marsha are also my friends. I have long admired not only their commitment to our country, but also their commitment to faith and family. After decades of service, the two of them will finally get to spend some much-deserved quality time with their children and grandchildren. Their shoes will be tough ones to fill."
