Duffy Supports House Budget; A Sound Fiscal Blueprint

Date: March 25, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Representative Sean Duffy (WI-07) voted in favor of the H. Con. Res. 27, the House Budget Resolution, which passed the House 228 to 199 Wednesday evening.

Rep. Duffy offered, "This Budget is a sound blueprint for a more fiscally responsible government. First and foremost, it balances. Something the President's Budget never does. It repeals Obamacare and sets in motion a plan to replace it with patient-centered solutions. It reins in the dangerously unaccountable Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and puts it under regular appropriations. It strengthens Medicare and prevents the President's plan to raid the Social Security Trust Fund.

Duffy continued, "This is the work the American people expect of - and the ideas that they need from - their elected leaders."
