Congresswoman Fudge Condemns the ISIS Execution of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians, the Escalating Crimes of the ISIS Terrorist Network

Statement

Date: Feb. 17, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) today denounced the mass execution of Egyptian citizens by the Islamic State (known as ISIS) who targeted the victims based on their Coptic Christian faith:

"I condemn in the strongest terms the barbaric acts of ISIS and the beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians. This is a crime against all humanity. Shortly before the revelation of this mass execution, the world mourned the murder of Kayla Mueller, a U.S. citizen, by ISIS. It is evident that ISIS is a threat to any person of any nationality, religion or creed who does not follow its brutal, extremist ideology. I pray for the families of the victims and call on the community of nations to support each other in the eradication of this violent terrorist network."
