Today Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) was officially sworn in as a member of the 114th Congress and released the following statement.

"I am humbled to once again return to the United States House of Representatives to represent the constituents of Arizona's Fifth District. Over the past two years, we've seen an unprecedented shift in power as the executive branch usurps authority it does not rightfully have under the Constitution. Now is the time for Congress to defend its role and stand up for our nation's government and the separation of powers our founders built. I look forward to working to address the challenges facing our nation with the Senate and the President through real, sound, and constitutional solutions."
