Governor Dayton Announces Upcoming Vacancy on Minnesota Supreme Court

Governor Mark Dayton announced today the commencement of the process to fill a vacancy on the Minnesota Supreme Court, created upon the upcoming retirement of Associate Justice Alan C. Page at the end of August. Applications submitted at this time may also be considered for any additional vacancies on the Minnesota Supreme Court that may occur in 2015.

Governor Dayton has asked the Commission on Judicial Selection to aid in the review and selection process for this vacancy. The at-large members of the Commission will consider applicants and offer recommendations to Governor Dayton. The Commission on Judicial Selection and Governor Dayton are committed to seeking out individuals who possess great integrity, extensive legal knowledge, broad experience, and commitment to fairness.
