Flake Statement on 2015 State of the Union Address

Statement

Date: Jan. 20, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) today released the following statement in response to President Barack Obama's 2015 State of the Union address:

"This evening, I heard the president say that we need to raise taxes. The middle class would be best served if Congress and the president worked together to eliminate the absurd spending that pervades federal agencies, reform the undecipherable tax code to lower rates and eliminate loopholes for everyone, and tackle the $18 trillion national debt that both parties had a hand in building."
