Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-46), senior member of the House Armed Services Committee today released the following statement after Ashton Carter was confirmed as the new Secretary of Defense.
"I congratulate Secretary of Defense Ash Carter on his confirmation by the U.S. Senate today. Secretary Carter's impressive experience will serve him well in this demanding position.
