Price Applauds Bipartisan Tax Measures -- Challenges Obama

Date: Feb. 13, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Tom Price, M.D. (GA-06) issued the following statement today after the President threatened to veto two House measures passed this week, H.R. 636 - America's Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2015 and H.R. 644 - Fighting Hunger Incentive Act, that provide tax relief on charitable giving and small business investment:

"Congress is doing its job to support American families and economic growth while President Obama is doing nothing more than issuing veto threats on bipartisan legislation. Allowing small business entrepreneurs to invest in new equipment or capital improvements is a prudent incentive to encourage greater growth in our economy and job creation. All across the country, charitable food organizations rely on the goodwill of individuals to give back to their communities. Generosity should not be taxed. I challenge the President to lead by example and sign these bipartisan pro-growth measures."
