This weekend the Illinois State University Redbirds are taking on the North Dakota State University Bison in the NCAA Division I Football Championship. I am confident that the Redbirds and Coach Brock Spack will represent our state with pride and that they are ready for a victory over the Bison.

In fact, I'm so confidant that the Redbirds will take home the title that I've placed a friendly wager with Senator John Hoeven (R-N.D.). When the Redbirds win, I'll be enjoying bison steaks on John's dime. If the Bison win, I've offered to treat John to Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Check back on Instagram for a photo of the steaks!

The Redbirds have a record of 13-1 and secured their position in the Championship by beating out New Hampshire 21-18. You can watch the game live on ESPN 2 on Saturday at noon.
