Gov. Nixon Appoints Long-Time Deputy Collector as New Webster County Assessor

Gov. Jay Nixon today appointed Kathy Galbraith, of Marshfield, as the new Webster County Assessor. The position became vacant upon the resignation of former Assessor Jim Jones.

Galbraith, a Democrat, has served as the Deputy Collector to Webster County Collector David Young since 2000.

"As Deputy Collector in Webster County for almost 15 years, Kathy Galbraith has demonstrated her ability in managing taxpayer dollars, and I am confident that public trust in her will continue as she becomes the new Assessor," Gov. Nixon said.
