Congressman Tom Price, M.D. (GA-06) issued the following statement expressing support for today's March for Life and applauding passage in the House of Representatives of H.R. 7, a bill to prevent taxpayer funding of abortion:

"It is an honor to join with so many Americans all across the country today in showing our support and commitment to defending the sanctity of life. We have an obligation to stand up and be a voice for the innocent and the unborn, to protect that most precious gift. At the very least, Congress must take action to ensure that taxpayer dollars are not used to fund abortions. A majority of the American people support such a prohibition, and I was proud to stand with a bipartisan majority of my colleagues in voting today to prevent taxpayer funding of abortions."
