April 21 -- Northup, Colleagues Join Minority Business Leaders Supporting Social Security Reform and Financial Literacy

Today, Congresswoman Anne M. Northup and Congressional Colleagues Senator Rick Santorum (Pennsylvania), Senator Jim DeMint (South Carolina), and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (Florida) joined the Center for Financial Literacy coalition to promote Social Security reform and financial literacy.

"Historically, minority communities have faced obstacles when it comes to building healthy nest eggs for retirement," Congresswoman Northup said. "Adding personal retirement accounts to Social Security will enable everyone to build a savings that they will own, rely on for retirement, and pass along to their heirs."
