Nick Di iorio, Challenger to Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Will Hold a Press Conference 11 AM on City Hall Steps

Press Release

Date: Oct. 27, 2014
Location: New York, NY

Congressional candidate Nick Di iorio, challenging long-term incumbent Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY-12) will hold a press conference on the steps of City Hall in New York City, Friday at 11 a.m. to reiterate his priorities in Congress and why Maloney needs to go. He will also present a panda to the city.

Said Di iorio: "I have succeeded in adopting a panda for New York where Carolyn Maloney has failed, so maybe now she can focus on more important priorities and work on getting something done, instead of merely introducing bills that never get signed into law, sending out thousands of press releases and posing for photo ops. The panda represents all of Rep. Maloney's failed initiatives - just like the whopping 98% of her proposed bills that have died before reaching the President's desk."

"Carolyn Maloney is not doing her job. We deserve serious, sober representation in Congress. The priority should be jobs, protecting Israel, focusing on the Middle East, and cleaning up the corruption in Washington, DC where she is part of the problem, rather than the solution," said Di iorio. "Instead, Carolyn Maloney introduces hundreds of junk bills that go nowhere -- more than anyone else in Congress, refuses to debate me in this campaign, and made a high-profile, but failed, attempt to adopt a panda for the Central Park Zoo."
