Garnder: We Must Remain Indivisible and Never Forget

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Cory Gardner (CO-04) released the following statement today in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:

"Today, we remember the families who lost loved ones 13 years ago and hold them close in our hearts. We honor the first responders who rushed in to rescue the survivors, many of them giving their own lives to save the lives of strangers. And we thank every man and woman who has worn the uniform of our great nation and stood on the frontlines, preserving our freedom and protecting the world from reprehensible acts of terror since then. With the recent tragedies in the Middle East, it remains clear that terrorists are continuing their attempts to manipulate the world with fear. We must remain indivisible in the face of these difficult times to prevent further terrorist attacks. We will never forget what happened on September 11, 2001, but today, we stand together, stronger and united against those who threaten the freedom and safety of our nation."
