Democrats Rally Behind Doug Ose

Democrats have thrown their support behind Doug Ose in the race for Congress in California's 7th Congressional District. These men and women will work to elect Ose in the coming months.

"I'm humbled to receive the support of so many people who understand that working across party lines in order to find solutions should be a top priority. In today's divided congress, working together has never been more important," said Doug Ose. "Congressman Bera claims to be leading the charge to find bipartisan solutions, however his record proves otherwise. Supporting Nancy Pelosi and party bosses nearly 90 percent of the time is anything but bipartisanship."

The Democrats for Ose Coalition includes dozens of elected officials, community leaders, and citizens concerned about the direction of this country. Included among the members is the Mayor of Citrus Heights, Mel Turner.

Additional members of the Democrats for Ose Coalition include the following individuals. As you will find below, each supports Doug for different reasons, chief among them is his ability to work across party lines.

"I am a Democrat and have known Doug Ose for 35 years. He is my friend. That's why I am supporting him," said Jimmie Yee, Sacramento County Board of Supervisors.

"Doug was instrumental in terms of supporting the Greater Urban League and bringing federal investment to low-income communities throughout Sacramento County. He knew I was a Democrat, but it didn't matter. What mattered to him was getting stuff done. And he did," said James Shelby, President/ CEO
of the Greater Sacramento Urban League.

"I am a Democrat and I am supporting Doug Ose because he cares about this community and has always been about finding solutions and getting things done. Having worked in Doug's congressional office, I know first-hand how dedicated he is to this community," said Johnnise Downs.

"I am a Democrat and have known Doug Ose for 50 years. His whole focus is all about getting stuff done. That's why I am supporting him for Congress," said small business owner, Bill Van Duker.
