Latinos Are Frustrated with President Obama, but Pissed at House Republicans

Statement

Date: Sept. 9, 2014

Friends,

This Sunday I was on CNN's State of the Union with Candy Crowley.

My message was clear: Latinos are frustrated with the President for delaying Executive Action, but pissed off at House Republicans for blocking any action on comprehensive immigration reform.

Because of Speaker Boehner's Do-Nothing Congress, not only are families left in the shadows, but thousands of small businesses and farms continue to face uncertainty in their workforce. This is unacceptable, but we can change it.

Comprehensive immigration reform would reduce our deficit by $900 billion and create 1 million new jobs over 10 years. Executive Action by President Obama would cut our deficit by $6 billion immediately and by $45 billion in 5 years while creating 4 million consumers immediately, which would be a boon to our economy.

We can all stay pissed off at the continuing inaction in Washington or we can change the dynamics this election.

I need your help to make this election a call to action for not just Latino voters, but all voters looking for real solutions.

Your support will send a message to Speaker Boehner that we are pissed off and taking action.

Thank you for your support!
