U.S. Senator Kay Hagan released the following statement after it was reported that ISIS killed British aid worker Alan Henning:

"The beheading of yet another Western citizen by ISIS is further proof that swift, decisive action must be taken to destroy and eradicate this evil group, who are intent on harming America and our allies. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Alan Henning, as well as the other victims of ISIS's brutality, and this horrible atrocity will only serve to strengthen the world's resolve to seek out and eliminate ISIS wherever they may be."
