U.S. Chamber of Commerce Endorses Scott Brown in Nashua

Press Release

Date: Sept. 30, 2014
Location: Nashua, NH

As part of the ongoing "Better Jobs For All" tour, Scott Brown was today endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at Rapid Sheet Metal, Inc. in Nashua.

"With today's challenges, New Hampshire needs an independent voice and leader. They haven't found it in Jeanne Shaheen, who voted with the Obama Administration 99% of the time," said Rob Engstrom, Chamber of Commerce National Political Director. "This race represents one of the clearest choices between failed economic policies and a new vision for our country that will prioritize growth and prosperity. Scott Brown is a demonstrated leader who will represent New Hampshire values above all and fight for job creation and free enterprise. The U.S. Chamber is honored to stand with him."

Rapid Sheet Metal, Inc. employs 260 workers. The company makes precision metal parts for electronic products and machinery, working with many major companies across America. In addition to their frustrations with President Obama and Senator Shaheen's failed economic policy, the company remains concerned about the rising cost of energy, recognizing that Senator Shaheen's new national energy tax will keep rates high and kill jobs.

"I am honored to be endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who is fighting every day for the interests of our job creators and entrepreneurs," said Brown. "As New Hampshire's next senator, I will work tirelessly to promote pro-growth policies that will allow the private sector to grow, expand and thrive. That starts by making energy more affordable, and not imposing a new national energy tax as Senator Shaheen has attempted to do during her time in the Senate. Energy prices are already too high in New Hampshire, and if Senator Shaheen had her way, they'd be even higher, which would create uncertainty and kill jobs."

Yesterday, Brown was endorsed by the National Federation for Independent Businesses (NFIB) at North Country Tractor in Pembroke, another company negatively impacted by Obamacare's upcoming employer mandate. Brown has a 94% lifetime rating with the NFIB, compared to Jeanne Shaheen's disappointing 30% lifetime rating, including a 0% score for this Congress.
