Renacci Statement In Remembrance Of 9/11

Statement

Rep. Jim Renacci (OH-16) today released the below statement in remembrance of the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001:

"Today, we remember the thousands of Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We also reflect on the attack on our embassy in Benghazi, Libya on this day in 2012 that led to the murder of Ambassador Ted Stevens and three other innocent Americans. We grieve for the victims and their families who have lost loved ones to senseless acts of terrorism.

"Thirteen years later, our country faces new and emerging terror threats. It is critical that we develop a long-term, comprehensive strategy to address terrorism around the world to protect American interests at home and abroad.

"As we reflect on one of our country's darkest days, I hope you will join me in remembering the heroes who lost their lives and those who continue to fight to protect our freedoms."
