Legal immigrants have made many positive contributions to our nation in terms of economic growth and cultural heritage. However, due to years of extreme neglect by the federal government, our nation has an immigration crisis.
Over the past decade, unchecked illegal immigration has allowed over 12 million illegal immigrants to stream into our country, wreaking havoc on our economic, legal, and national security interests.
Illegal immigration must be stopped. That begins my securing the borders, strengthening employer verification, and keeping current enforcement and protections strong. But, make no mistake about it; I am 100% in opposition to placing undocumented workers on an automatic path to citizenship.
