Senior Citizen and disabled persons Social Security benefits are not keeping up with
inflation and property tax increases.

Also, Congressman Peter Welch voted to decrease food stamps by 1 percent starting this coming winter, which means that out of 365 days a year, 1 percent, or 3.65 days of the coming year, Vermonters will go hungry, and some of them are so fragile they may die.
