Issue Position: Taxpayer Patents and Copyrights

Issue Position

Location: Unknown

When taxpayer dollars pay for medical research, or research for F-35 fighter jets, or anything else, then the taxpayers should own the Patents for the product copyrights and patents they paid to invent.

For example, if you worked at IBM and invented something, they would say that is 'work made for hire' because they paid you to invent it. IBM owns the patent.

Therefore, for all prescription drugs and medical devices, and military weapons such as F-35 fighter jets being sold to Israel and other countries, for which the research was paid for by the taxpayers, the taxpayers should own the Patents and Copyrights, and at least 50% of the profits when these prescriptions, medical devices and military weapons are sold for profit by huge mega-corporation pharmaceutical companies and defense
contractors like Lockheed Martin. The taxpayers share should go into the Social Security fund which is being raped by borrowing to other programs.
