U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) today applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) decision to award Missouri with federal funds under the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Grant program. Blunt sent letters to DOT in April 2014 and vigorously advocated for the grant requests.

"I've strongly advocated for these projects because they will help grow jobs, increase the transit of goods and services, and create more economic opportunity across Missouri," said Blunt. "Strong infrastructure is critical to the economic health of our communities and our state, which is why I will continue to advocate for projects like these that strengthen and modernize our transportation systems across Missouri."
