Throughout my career I have been honored to received either an "A" or 100 percent rating from the NAACP, The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda, the Human Rights Campaign among others. I have fought for expanding economic opportunities for America's middle class. I have supported dramatic increases in funding for public education, job training programs and for initiatives to combat discrimination wherever it may be found. I have stood for legislation that invests in financially disadvantaged communities. I've worked tirelessly to to support affordable housing and will always work to make the American Dream available to everyone.
