Today, Clean Water Action endorsed Anthony Brown for Governor because of his commitment to environmental justice and cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay, support for preserving Maryland's open space, and record of advancing wind and solar power.

"We're proud to back Anthony Brown for governor because he is a proven leader dedicated to preserving Maryland's open spaces, expanding the use of wind and solar energy, and cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay," said Chesapeake Regional Director Andrew Fellows. "As our next governor, we know Brown will continue his commitment to environmental preservation and justice."

"I'm thankful for the support of Clean Water Action, and for their dedication to cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay and advancing environmental justice for all Marylanders," said Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown. "We face a real choice this election, and the Brown-Ulman administration will do our part to address climate change, protect the health of our waterways and the Bay, and ensure all Marylanders can drink clean water and breathe clean air for generations to come."

Throughout the fall campaign season Clean Water Action will mobilize and engage its nearly 90,000 Maryland members to make sure that Anthony Brown becomes Maryland's next governor.
