I believe in the second amendment and our right to bear arms. I also believe in smart gun ownership. Always treat a gun as if it were loaded and never point a gun at anything you don't wish to destroy. Common sense. I believe in providing incentives for gun owners to purchase gun safes for safe storage of firearms. I believe in increasing the training required to receive a handgun carry permit. Having firearms to guard your own home is all well and good, but carrying that firearm into public requires a certain level of responsibility and training I didn't feel I adequately received when I went through the course.
