Duckworth Applauds Walgreens' Decision to Stay in Chicago Area

Today, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) released the following statement on the decision by Walgreens to keep its corporate tax headquarters in the United States.

"I applaud Walgreens for doing the right thing and choosing to keep its headquarters and thousands of jobs right here in Chicagoland. It is the patriotic decision and I believe that Walgreens' customers will remember that it sided with American taxpayers."

"While this is an important victory, we must get to work closing the tax loopholes that encourage corporations to base their operations overseas. Tax reform can help us make a fairer system that encourages corporations to grow and create jobs in the United States."
