Issue Position: Reforming Harrisburg

Issue Position

Steve believes in open government that works for the people. That's why he's leading by example - refusing taxpayer-paid perks like per diems, a car, or a cell phone. As our State Representative, he hasn't even taken reimbursement for mileage or meals when traveling to and from Harrisburg.

Steve posts his office expenses online so taxpayers know exactly how their money is being spent, has voted to reduce the size of legislature, and will never vote to raise his salary or his benefits.

To further protect taxpayers and hardworking citizens across Pennsylvania, Steve voted to reform welfare, institute drug testing for recipients, and deny benefits to illegal aliens.

He'll continue to fight for common sense reforms that put our interests ahead of the special interests.

Steve is constantly seeking input from us through Community Advisory Councils that provide our view on issues important to seniors, veterans, businesses, and our schools. He also regularly hosts Town Hall meetings throughout the 97th district to bring Harrisburg closer to our homes and communities.
