Senator John Walsh today released the following statement after voting to confirm Bob McDonald as the new Secretary for the Department of Veterans Affairs:
"America's veterans sacrificed for this nation and have earned timely access to quality care. The VA healthcare system needs reform, strong leadership, and a renewed commitment to caring for our veterans. Congress also has a responsibility to live up to the promises we made to our nation's veterans and to be a partner with the VA. I look forward to working with Secretary McDonald to ensure that no veteran is left behind by the country they have served."
