Although we don't hear a lot about the problem of human trafficking, it is nevertheless, a serious problem that touches America and Arizona as well. Legislators must give high priority to this issue and make sure we have legislation in place to address this degrading and de-humanizing activity. Arizona has an opportunity to stand out as a State that simply will not tolerate human trafficking at any level. Legislation must be in place that brings serious and severe punitive measures to anyone engaging in this horrific activity. Victims of human trafficking are usually at the mercy of those who traffic them and are often literally enslaved in that environment. Arizona must stand firm in opposition to this tragic and horrible activity.
