Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) released the following the statement after Adams County District Court Judge C. Scott Crabtree ruled Colorado's ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional:

"The ruling by Judge Crabtree is an important step toward marriage equality. I hope higher courts will uphold this ruling so someday soon every person will have the freedom and opportunity to marry the person they love."
