Governor Malloy made increasing taxes on Connecticut families and small businesses the top priority of his administration and is responsible for passing the largest tax increase in the history of the state of Connecticut. This year Forbes named Connecticut the 3rd worst state in the nation for business costs. In order to bring good, quality jobs back to Connecticut we must roll back the Malloy taxes which restrain small businesses from hiring and push larger business out of the state.
One of the things I say often is that our elected officials shouldn't get points for participation or for trying to improve our tax climate; after months of leadership and hard work we passed a nearly $1 million tax decrease in Groton last week. Real results matter and we need elected officials with a commitment to getting the job done.
