$30 billion to hire 100,000 construction workers to build 1,000,000 new "Green Building' public apartments in NYC, clean air, energy-efficient, 24-hour move-in, no more background checks, no more inspections of apartments that people are living in; end homelessness. Make public housing BETTER than private housing. Rent will be 25% of your income, whatever your income is. Good decent housing is a basic human right. Public housing to include heat, hot water and electricity in the rent. Supply and demand: as 1 million new public apartments fill up -- private apartment rents will be cut in half as private apartments empty out. Choose public housing or private.
