SCOTUS Decision a Win for Religious Freedom

Today, in a 5-4 ruling the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that privately-held companies, with religious owners cannot be mandated to provide contraception coverage. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

"The Supreme Court's ruling was a victory for religious freedom, allowing family-owned businesses to make their own decisions without government interference. Today's ruling also reaffirms and strengthens the "Religious Freedom Restoration Act.' Businesses and people should not have to fear the government, and the possibility of laws created to prevent the Constitutional exercise of religious beliefs."
