Issue Position

The citizens of Washington State deserve to have a government that they can trust. For this to happen, government must be open, transparent, and accountable to the people that it is supposed to serve.

I believe the primary role of government is to protect individual liberty for everyone. As the Washington State Constitution states: "All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights". This statement embodies the essence of my political philosophy and will guide my actions in the legislature.
