Seniors
During these difficult economic times, when many are already struggling to make ends meet, Chrissy will continue to ensure that Missouri seniors get to maintain their independence by allowing them to keep and spend more of their own money.

America's seniors are important to our society but are too often taken for granted. "I remember recently watching Mickey Rooney testify about the abuses he faced -- he said "Elder abuse comes in many different forms. Each one is devastating in its own right." I want to fight to ensure that Seniors are not victims of emotional, sexual or financial abuse or neglect."

Chrissy goes on to say, "Both of my parents are now retired and I see the effects of increasing taxes and the uncertainty of social security and medicare on them. I will be a voice for all seniors so that their concerns are heard in Jefferson City. It is our duty to all of our citizens to ensure that we as legislators listen to their wisdom and learn from their experiences."

Veterans
Our nation owes much to the brave men and women who served this country with honor and distinction. Not only do they deserve our gratitude but also our assistance for their sacrifices they made in defense of our great nation.

"I am always humbled by their selflessness. These men and women have made sacrifices to protect the liberty we enjoy in this great country -- some even giving their lives." Without our nation's veterans, we would not have the rights and privileges that we take for granted as Americans each and every day. Our veterans are the reason that our nation stands as a shining example for other freedom-loving nations around world.

Chrissy shares, "My father is a veteran of the Vietnam war and I am honored that so many men and women have given so freely to insure our freedoms. In turn our State and Nation owe them a debt of gratitude. I will maintain an open door policy so that they may come to me with their problems. It is important that these individuals are protected as they have protected us."
