Rep. Fincher Applauds Supreme Court's Religious Freedom Decision in Hobby Lobby Case

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Stephen Fincher (R-TN) today issued the following statement following the Supreme Court's decision in the Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood Specialties case challenging the HHS Mandate:

"Today's landmark decision upholds one of our nation's most deeply held Constitutional freedoms -- the fundamental First Amendment right to practice our religious beliefs. No Tennessean should be forced to act against their personal religious beliefs in order to adhere to a government mandate.

"I applaud the Court's ruling, which ensures that individuals, like the owners of Hobby Lobby, do not lose their religious freedom when they open a family business."
