Rice Statement on SCOTUS Recess Appointment Decision

By a unanimous 9-0 vote, the United States Supreme Court ruled that President Obama's three recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board in January 2012 were unconstitutional. Congressman Rice released the following statement applauding the Supreme Court's decision:

"This ruling is a huge victory for our Constitution. Furthermore, this is the third ruling this week that protects Americans from government overreach and intrusion. Time and time again, the President has abused his authority and ignored our separation of powers, expecting to never be held accountable. With these three rulings and Speaker John Boehner's lawsuit announcement, the Supreme Court and the People's House have sent the President a clear message--our nation's system of government will not be ignored."
