Rep. Bruce Braley (IA-01) today released the following statement ahead of tomorrow's holiday celebrating the nation's 238th birthday:
"While the fourth of July is celebrated with family, friends and fireworks, it's ultimately a celebration of what America has represented for over two centuries--freedom, opportunity, and self-determination. Independence Day is an opportunity to celebrate those American ideals and to honor the generations of Americans that have sacrificed to provide them. I'm proud to join all Iowans as we celebrate America's founding and the ideals it has represented for centuries."
